After León I met two more Finns,
Olavi and Irja, who had both been on the Camino before and were planning
to come back again. Altogether I met eleven other Finns along the way, not bad since the Pilgrims Office statistics don't even mention Finns and according to Refugio Gaucelmo statistics there were only 31 Finns visiting them last year. The interest towards Camino is growing from year to year. First real peek was Holy Year 1999 and no doubt the Holy Year in 2004 breaks all the previous records. [Back
