...but there are even kids along the way
(with their parents, of course).
In fact, during the Holy Year 1999 total 1470 kids between 0-11 and 12 158 between 11-15 of age were issued the Compostela at the Pilgrims Office in Santiago. The statistics don't tell, if any of them made it all the way from St. Jean Pied de Port or Roncesvalles. To qualify for the certificate of pilgrimage, "Compostela" one needs to walk minimun of the last 100 km or cycle or ride on horseback minimum of the last 200 km to Santiago de Compostela.
